Sulphur on this batch was non-existant and was pleasantly malty and light noble hops all around. Great Helles. Tap at New Hope. Pours a nice clear medium gold with a nice lasting white head and good lace. Aroma is initially slight sulfur whihc turned me off to this beer but after a while it went away and gave way to a nice bready pils malt and light herbal and earthy noble hops. Flavor is moslty pils malt, the body isnt as fulll as it should be- a bit of hoppiness, but the body just wasnt up to par for a great Helles. Nice easy drinking lager though. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 9, 2007 On tap at the New Hope location. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a bubbly/creamy white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma was on the light side, grassy, grainy, malts but really mellow. Flavor of cereal grains, some grassiness, citrus, some hop bitterness followed by Cheerios. Nice Helles. Nate (2572), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
