New Hope. Clear yellow-straw body with a clean, sudsy white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon citrus, honeysuckle, and melon. Solid wheatiness in the flavor with pale honey tones, moderate sweetness, light but notable bitterness, and cleansing acidity. Light grassiness in the flavor. Decent and refreshing, just not a style that I can find a place for outside of 100 degree heat.

GABF 2006. My least favorite of the three Triumph beers I tried at the festival. But then again, I’m not overly fond of American Wheats either. Gold body. Small white head. Nose is light honey, wheat, soft lemon and light malt. Taste is more honey and wheat with light lemon, and soft bready notes. Light-medium feel to it with only a subtle tickle to the carbonation. Ends with more honey, malt, wheat and light citrus.

Clear gold, thin white head. Very soft honey, earth, and nut nose. Flavor is similar with honey, flowers, wheat and earth. Light bodied and thin, soft carbonation, lightly sweet finish. Weak for sure...

Draft at Princetone brewpub. I am not a fan of American Wheats, but this is very solid for what it is. Pours golden with white head. Sweet wheat malt and honey flavors, but with a thin mouthfeel. Dry finsih, with some faint bitterness. Again, a good example of the style, but not my personal cup of tea

On draft in New hope brewery. pale golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of sweet malts, honey, wheat, citrus. Flavor is sweet, honey, wheat, with a slight hoppy dry finish. Good body, i loved this brew.

Sampled on draught at the New Hope, PA location. Said to be their most popular beer along with the Amber Ale, and its easy to see why. This is clearly their most "approachable" beer, and one brewed to be the least offensive. I’ve only had a handful of honey wheat beers that really had lots of flavor and character, and this beer is not one of them. Pours to a light golden color, with a tight, white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose has light aromas of pale and wheat malt, but really not a whole lot going on. The palate is pretty much the same. Light, pale and tart wheat malt flavor, and light touches of honey sweetness. This beer finishes with light pale malt flavor that fades, and sligtly lingers. It is what it is. Well made, but brewed to be the "lightest offering".
