gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jul 8, 2009 Had this one on draught at the Triumph location in downtown Philadelphia. Clear, medium brown pour with a foamy white head, a light rosy hoppy nose, nice hoppiness with a strong, dry finish. Good! WeeHeavySD (2941), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 18, 2009 Tap at Philly. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet, subtle bitter hops. Taste is sweet, way way over hopped in my opinion. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Jun 7, 2009 On tap at Triumph Philly. Triumph has never been a brewery that has really impressed me, but this beer changed things. Pouring dark gold with a medium-sized white head, this beer’s aroma is a magnificently pungent blend of fresh grass, herbs, lemonade, and pale malt. Palate is medium-bodied, light enough to remind you of its weaker pilsner ancestors, yet rich to remind you of the heft of this brew. Flavors include a strong immediate herbal-grassiness, followed by estery notes and a crisp bitter finish. A definitive success by my book. blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA May 29, 2009 Draft at the Olde City location. Pours golden amber with an off white head. The aroma has floral hops, iced tea and a bit of malt. The flavor has herbal malts and some sweeter malt. Decent. illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA May 29, 2009 Draft at Philadelphia. Pours a straw golden with a white head. Nice aroma of floral hops and cereal grains. Medium to light bodied with a typical smooth lagery mouth feel. Initial flavor of sweet grains, biscuit, and honey that is countered by an assertive spicy and leafy hoppiness. Bitter and semi grassy finish, with a tad amount of an annoying dried herb/ vegetal flavor from the hops. Overall, still a respectable beer.
