NJBeerman013 (645), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Oct 22, 2003 By far the best 'fest beer I have had. A very malty blend that just soothes the soul as well as the palate. This beer lacked the often sloppy sweetness that you find in this style. It had a little sweet but with a purpose. I enjoyed this beer immensely. jcalbi (378), New Jersey, USA Nov 11, 2002 Clean copper color with a consistent 1/8" thick sandy colored head. Aromatic hints of chocolate and candy sugar ,though not oppresively so. Somewhat smokey and toasted mouthfeel with flavors of chocolate and caramel and a slight hop bitterness. An O’fest that left me pining for more. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2003 Updated: Oct 28, 2003Good maltey beer. Clean. No off notes in aroma. Munich malty flavor. Low hops. Very clear. Enjoyable. Reminded me of some of the best from Munich. Jine (885), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Oct 3, 2004 At Triumph in New Hope. Tapped today at 3 pm, and I enjoyed this at around 8 pm. Didn’t meet up to my expectations, but realize that I’ve been waiting for this beer since it was first listed on the fermenting board in early August. Still a very good Oktoberfest Cletus (3604), Connecticut, USA Oct 21, 2008 Growler courtesy of JB175. Pours copper with a reddish tint and a nice sustained white head. Smells of caramel, dough, wildflowers, light tea. Tastes spicy and lightly bitter with a touch of citrus and a dry malty finish.
