pobenohne (504), Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2005 Draft at Sippin by the River ’05. These guys make a lot of good an interesting beers. The octoberfest is true to the style: big malt, clean fermentation, fresh.
CharlesDarwin (1442), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2008 On tap at the Philadelphia location. Pours a brilliant sienna-orange, with a tall finger of tan foam. Sweet grain sugar nose, fresh baguette crush and some pumpkin seed. Flavor is rather bland. Some generic Munich malt, a bit of toast, and some light hops. Really generic and blandish. Dry and crisp. Not the sweetness, malt character or expressiveness I’m looking for. Drinkable, but plain.
BeerGestapo (399), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2008 Brewed in the USA !!! (KSBF) Pours a lite orange color with a med white head. Aroma of spices , citrus, and malts. Mouthfeel is much of the same with the addition of hops. Pretty good oktoberfest !!! jjpm74 (3448), Connecticut, USA Oct 21, 2008 Growler courtesy of JB175. Pours copper with a reddish tint and a nice sustained white head. Smells of caramel, dough, wildflowers, light tea. Tastes spicy and lightly bitter with a touch of citrus and a dry malty finish. TheCaptain (343), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 On tap at KSBF 08- Good clear amber with a decent foam head. Hops and a grain malt body. There was a slight spicy hop bitterness that was a little bit off for me. Otherwise good beer. bp (340), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 Draft at the Philly location: pours a dark amber with a white foamy head, aroma of spices, taste is malty with a little spice. Not bad.
