Commercial Description:
"Strong rye beer" is a fair English rendering of the name. A Triumph exclusive, Roggenbock is rich with the flavor of rustic black rye bread and boasts a substantial 7% ABV.

A very nice tasting beer. It has a aroma and flavor of a rustic black rye bread. Sampled it at the Philadelphia location on 2/21/2008

Dark brown body with a small tan head. The nose is sweet and herbal with tons of rye, caraway and clove. Lightly sweet taste with caramel, toffee, spicy rye and caraway seeds. Medium body is soft with light carbonation.

On tap at the Philly location. Pours a deeper hazy amber with a medium creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of rye bread, grainy malt sweetness, a touch of some fruitiness. Flavor was rye bread, dry, some malty sweetness but mostly dry, spicy and very drinkable. Well done.

sample at Philly location on 1/19/08. very good Triumph beer... pours a dark red color... some rye to it.... medium body... different than what I’m used to drinking.... solid choice if you are at Triumph.

Dark caramel amber with a big fluffy tan head. Aroma is slightly vomity (caraway) with a hint of sweetness. It does indeed taste of rye... rather like a liquefied loaf of pumpernickel bread.
