Jan 12, 2007 on tap-pours a white head and amber color. Aroma is faint sweet grain. Taste is sweet grain/light malt-sweet, faint hops. Smooth, mild, nice. OK carbonation.

Dec 18, 2009 Draft. Pours a copper body with a white head. Stinky grain y apples tones, malty body thin and sweet with a lightly bitter finish. I remember at the time thinking this was a better version of yuengling despite their difference in styles. Okay.

Jan 1, 2007 Tap at Princeton. Pours a perfect light amber/orangey copper with a nice sticky off white head and some great lace. Aroma is toasty, vienna malts- light caramelly and a nice earthy spicy hop balance. Fresh bready and toasted malts, light sugary sweetness, faint nuttiness and a nice crisp hop bitterness in the end. Smooth and refreshing. Great example of a hard style to brew.

Jan 20, 2009 Light brownish gold color with aromas of toast and light caramel. The flavor has a nice vanilla and green hoppiness. Nice crispness and mellow, tasty roastiness. Good shit.

Sep 18, 2007 Looks like water from a rusty bucket. Slightly toasty, slightly sweet aroma - all malt. Medium sweet, medium bittering. A little too bocky for my taste. Burnt toast aftertaste hangs around a little too long. Not bad, but not my style.

Jan 20, 2009 Handbottle shared by Paul. Nice pour, golden, decent head. Very very toasty aroma, a touch of wheat and veggies, nutty. Lots more toastiness in the flavor, sweet and veggies and great German malts. A very solid Vienna, dead on style.

Jan 22, 2009 Hand bottled by Dickinsonbeer. Pours a deep copper with an off white film of head. Nice lightly spicy Vienna malt nose with notes of fresh bread crust and a touch of underlying anise? Creamy body, with a firm clean malt flavor. Crackery Vienna malt presence with a touch of bread character. It stays nice and dry throughout with a smooth and dry finish as well. This is an awesome German-style session.

Dec 26, 2004 12.22.04 Princeton. Dark gold pour, slight ring of foam lingers. Bready aromas, other sweetness, pepper. Lagery flavors that I don’t like and plenty of malts like malted white flour. Seems like a missed opportunity to fill a tap with this during the winter beer season.
