Bottle. Huge foamy white head that really lasted. Good display of lacework. Sparkling pale golden color with a cloudy look at the end. Aroma of yeast, spice, fruit, some underlying malty notes, coriander and mild pepper, citrus. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with mild bitter and acidic notes. Spicy and fruity – yeasty like finish. Quit refreshing in the hot sun… :-D

On tap at Reading BF 08. Hazy pale gold with thin white head. Lovely pineapple aroma. Excellent fruit in mouth. Some Belgian yeast aroma. Rose petal. Alcohol in present in the aroma I thought. Didn’t realise it was a wit I must admit, I had it down more as a pineapple/rose petal tripel.

A pretty anonymous white beer with a slightly sweet edge. Fairly plain but easy to drink.

Bottle at O’briens. Pours with a very pale yellow body topped by a medium thick, white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter with a note of yeast, a little banana and some clove. Light bodied and a touch dry.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a good lasting white head. Aroma is very yeasty with notes of wheat and citric fruits. In the flavour I catch coriander and orange and some acid. Its more malty than the usual Belgian Wit.

750 ml brown champagne bottle. Best by end of May, 2009. Poured out a brilliant, bright yellow color, with a soapy white head. Aromas are of lactic wheat malt, yeasty bread, slight hops. Flavors are bubblegum, some clove, lactic acid tang. Medium mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Finished rather slick for a Wit.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of coriander and lemon peel. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Attractive aroma (if somewhat ordinary for the style), but way too sugary/syrupy sweet to drink more than a few ounces of. Shame...if it had been done crisper (and maybe a little less strong), this would be solid.

Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, Minnesota as De Graal Triverius, Belgian Wheat Ale. Pours a semi hazy golden brew with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of strong banana esters, whe3at malt and yeast with a touch of coriander. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of cloves, bananas, yeast and a touch of white pepper. Finish has a nice yeast/coriander and banana aftertaste, some fruity character and nice hop finish. A pretty decent wit overall.
