| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 1/5 | 18/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Surprisingly hoppy for a porter, a light mouth feel, with a smooth finish. The color is light for a porter, and in some respects this resembles more of a heavy brown ale. Either way another great beer from a great brewery, worth checking out. tronraner (1916), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark brown with beige head. The aroma is citrus and pine hops at first, along with a few sweeter chocolate notes. The flavor is sharp piney hops, then some dark caramel notes. A few nutty tones come through, then a hint of coffee. Hoppy finish, ashy, fruity, and roasty aftertaste. Not bad. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle: Emerged with a ruddy, rust-tinged muddy brown, like a river bottom, with a thin but very gluey head of tan. The aroma is pure milk chocolate. This drinks with an interesting sting, sharp and crisp, but with a big, rich undertow of chocolate and maybe just a tingle of coffee. A great American intrepretation of the style, light and easy to drink, but full of nice flavor. Excellent. (#3166, 10/31/2007) bu11zeye (5468), Frisco, Texas, USA
