| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottle Pours a good dark brown with a thin tan head. The head is creamy and mostly lasting. Laces very well. Has an intersting aroma that is fruity, floral, with some hops. The carbonation is good. Flavor is quite differnt than I expected. Has a sweet maltiness. Not what usually look for in a porter. Has a watery texture. A medium body. The finish is okay, with a decent aftertaste. DJMonarch (6878), Northwich, Cheshire, England

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a two finger tan colored head that last a while. The body of the brew was a typical black porter color.
The aromas are typical as well nice roasted malts along with that comes the coco and coffee notes as well. The flavor is a nice roasted bitter whit enough sweetness to make it drinkable. The mouthfeel is medium and there is light carbonation on your tongue.
I drink this again a very typical porter easy to drink and defiantly sessionable. I haven’t found too many brews from these guys that I wouldn’t drink again either. A very good brewery

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Bottle received from Machfive55. Pours opaque with a small, fizzy, light brown head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, dark chocolate, coffee), light hop (herbs), heavy yeast (sweaty leather) with notes of moldy wet socks, sour prunes, and mildew. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness and acidity, heavy bitterness. hershiser2 (917), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Flavor is sweet malts, chocolate, coffee, caramels, and finishes with a dark chocolate flavor. Smooth in the mouth and the flavor lingers. This is nice.
