Aug 19, 2007 12oz bottle. Bottle stamped, bottled on 072607. Poured a dark and murky brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of hoppiness (piney), chocolate, roast, and nutty. Tastes of chocolate, roast, hoppiness, nutty, and coffee. Lacing left on the glass.

May 5, 2005 Cask... Very dark, clear, copper color with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Mild, dark roasted notes of chocolate and toffee. Perfectly balanced, but watery with very lively carbonation. Lengthy, crisp, dry finish.

Nov 19, 2007 Bottle sampled on 9/18/07: Pours a nearly opaque dark mahogany with a wispy-lacing froth of dark tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and lightly roasted malts. Starts with a nice light sweetness and a touch of sticky caramel malt along with good roasty bittering notes and a hint of dark chocolate toward the bittersweet finish.
