The aroma is spicy, grainy, a little citrus. The flavor is very spicy, a littlle bit of banana, and very snappy in the backend. It has a crisp, biting peppery finish. Diggin’ it. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Pours a hazy blonde color with a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of bananas and bubble-gum. The yeast and esters are present and enjoyable. The mouthfeel is very smooth and comfy. This is a pretty good hefeweizen sirpsycho (350), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2008 Bottle at Mad Mex (Monroeville). Pours a slighlty cloudy orange, white head. Aroma is malt and a touch of citrus. Flavor is also malty and citrus, had a strange finish, very reminescient of Miso soup !?!?, but not in a bad way. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2008 From 12oz bottle. Light golden color with just a little cloudiness. I expected more haze since it said Unfiltered. Poured with little head that dissipated quickly. Good clove and banana flavors but a think mouthfeel. My first Troegs - kind of a let down but I’ll try additional bottlings. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2008 Date: 09/04/08, 12 oz. bottle
Aroma - The obligatory banana and clove does not disappoint, some toffee, and a distant floral aroma alos noted
Appearance - For a bottle conditioned beer, this is a surprisingly clear yellow, but the large durable white head is notable, and thick rings of lace
Flavor - A light grainy flavor starts off, and a zesty acidity follows with a clean, lightly bitter and dry finish
Palate - Light body and lively carbonation, clean and dry palate
Overall - A fine hefe, with all the right features. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2008 Updated: Apr 10, 2009Reminds me of Paulaner Hefeweizen, but not quite as good. Sweet flavor of bananas, cloves, and a bit of bubble gum. Would be better with a little more body, and less carbobation. Still its a refreshing summer beer. Smooth and easy drinking. jordanb (19), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Comparable to biting into an orange. A thin, upper-palate mouthfeel with a lingering spicy (and indeed, mouthwatering) aftertaste. A decent example of a wheat beer, though it’s lacking in complexity.
