Head is a bit lacking, not quite as hazy as I like my hefes. A bit thin and abrupt, fairly drinkable and is probably why they serve it at the bar I had it. Butterscotch on the finish that kind of saves this one. German hefes were my first beer love and this is nothing of the sort. JamesD (198), Centreville, Virginia, USA

Clove, banana, and pear notes are very assertive. It’s flavor is more subdued. It’s tangy, a little bit sour with some fruitiness. It almost tastes more like a witbier to me. glkaiser (1172), Seattle, Washington, USA

Tangy and gin-like. An even opalescent straw, rimmed with minimal white head. Flavor moves in similar figures, yet with a dying hop clap. Minimalistic. Body is very nice, with crisp sweetness and a ballast of yeast product smack. Genuine. Feldspar and cinnamon out the back. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA

Decidedly yellowish color akin to a glass of grapefruit juice. For all that yeast left on the bottom of the bottle, surprisingly little foam at the top. Nicely hoppy and not overly so like an IPA, but just enough for a hint of citrus. Extremely smooth and a bit creamy for the style. Not so much spice as the funky yeasty banana taste. Not quite typical, but still very enjoyable. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA

That spiced and mild banana profile is very much there and is very full. Smells like play-do or clay to me as well. Flavor is pretty full bodied, but seems almost light at the same time. There is not as much of a kick as I was expecting. Are the trademark characteristics there? Yes. Is it wildly interesting and unique? Hmmm. Feel has a fairly full bubble to it and the liquid is good as well. Very drinkable due to it’s smooth nature. Easily a session brew and definitely worth trying. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Bottle. Pours light gold and only slightly hazy. Aroma says lemons and apples. The taste is clovey and dry, with a little citrus. An incredible, easy drink.

Rerate:
Bottle. The beer is still a light, hazy gold; no surprises here. Aroma has cloves, yeast, wheat, a bit of citrus and something slightly off (which could be explained by the age of the bottle). The flavour has apples, clove, yeast, wheat and some sourness. While it’s at least medium bodied, it comes off as slightly watery. Dream Weaver is refreshing because it keeps its flavour throughout the bottle (most wheat-types I’ve had become a messy wall of something about 1/3 of the bottle in). The original rating was my first experience with this style.
