Apr 27, 2007 Bottle. Frothy head, quick to disapate. Light color for a Hefe. Light gold body, perfectly hazy. Tastke of banana and citrus with a clove finish. Very good Hefe. One of better ones I’ve had.

Apr 22, 2007 Long lasting head. Lots of citrus and spice flavors. Slightly acidic and light bodied taste does not make this the best wheat beer. Very drinkable and satisfying though.

Apr 18, 2007 Cloudy, golden amber colored with a thick white head. Smells slightly sweet, with hints of lemon and spices. Citrusy taste up front, with hints of banana and yeast, and a nice spicy finish with touches of orange peel and cloves. A very nice wheat that is very easy to drink.

Apr 15, 2007 Lots of citrus and clove. A bit of lemon on the nose with lemon and orange zest thirst quenching taste. Looks nice with a murky-yellow radiance. Nice bit of spice and pepper, but didn’t notice banana as much as most other wheat beers. A very good brew, but I prefer wheats with less citrus.

Apr 7, 2007 Oh what a beautiful hefe from my neighbors in the East. This is a great one. Pour was a cloudy light gold with a thin 1 finger head. Aroma was strong yeast and wheat. Taste was yeasty and hints of banana and spice. A little citrus in the after notes. Thumbs up, Troegs...you made this style yours!

Apr 7, 2007 Clear light yellow color with a thin white head. Citursy lemon wheaty notes. Light leather notes. Tart and wheaty citrus flavor. Acidic and mildly bitter on the finish. Light bodied.

Apr 2, 2007 This rating is from a bottle so it seems to differ from the few others I have read here. Pour is a pale golden yellow, nice and cloudy. The small ring of white bubbles that used to be a head faded fast. Aroma is dominated by clove, the hops seem very mellow, and the banana is somewhat understated. The flavor is dominated by the very full clove flavor, the malts are nice clean and crisp. the beer itself has a somewhat lingering clove flavor. Pretty good speciman.

Mar 26, 2007 Bottle - pours a huge billowy white head and lasts. Not as much clove/banana in the nose as some other hefeweizens that I’ve had or brewed. More hops than "usual". A bit lighter visually, too, more like a light lager. Very smooth and silky. I’d call it a very Americanized weizen.
