Commercial Description:
Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Troegs brothers’ dreamiest Single Batch creation—Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining four wheat types with Munich and Pils malts, noble Saaz hops, and a yeast strain that imparts a spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy.

Bottle: Poured a golden hazy and deadly still. The creamy head settled into a film on the side of the glass. The yeasty aroma and banana-cream flavors strive for the style’s standards, but don’t quite get there.

(Bottled 07/11/2006) Nice and wheaty with a dense layer of yeast. I like the 4.8% ABV on a hot night.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white bubbly head. Aroma of wheat, banana, lemon, bubblegum and some various spices. Flavor of wheat, citrus, yeast, banana and some grass. What a great Hefe.

Clear yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of light spicy musky wheat and light citrus, some esters. a bit light and thin, seems like an american wheat to me. Finishes lightly sweet, some hops, eh.

Those boys at Troegs know what they’re doing! Almost clear light yellow with a fluffy head. Mild aroma didn’t match up with the big spicy/fruity flavor. Light mouthfeel, crisp and refreshing, super summertime sipper. Excellent session beer.

Cloudy yellow. A mild wheat, slightly flat. Not strong enough for my taste. Not bad but it is not a great wheat.

Pale cloudy golden hue covered by a 1cm white head. Rather simplistic malt profile leaves a lot of room for the obvious banana yeastiness, paired by a strong soapy character. Tartish, oily and really dishes water reminiscent in taste. Wheat comes out gently, but it feels greasy through and through. Average carbonation, foamy texture, light bodied. Could be cleaner and more confident in its maltiness.

Sample at Old Dominion BF. Hazy straw color. Sweet, malt aroma and flavor. Malty wheat flavor. Good hefe.
