too little banana and esters and too peppery and metalic quality.
Rather boring. bburychka (55), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2009 A nice wheat beer that is definitely above average. The flavor is short-lived which brings down its score. puboflyons (614), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 14, 2009 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with a date of 040909. The pour is orange-pale yellow and cloudy with a thin white head. Mostly wheat and som e hops in the aroma and perhaps a little orange peel. Thin mouthfeel. The taste comes off as quite sour and tart with wheat, orange, and dry hops at the finish. I would not go out of my way for it in the future. jimhilt (1688), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Citrus and yeast nose. Flavor is lemon and yeast. Light peppery finish. $1.95 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA. CUJO (367), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2009 RnH: Not your average Hefe, don’t get me wrong it’s a good beer, but loses points for straying from the style. Nice complexity, everyone will agree cloves are all over the place, some fruits (bananas don’t automatically make it a Hefe!), the yeasts and sugars are hard to avoid. A bit watery?! msante79 (841), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2009 12oz bottle from MrChopin. Pours cloudy golden orange with very small white head. Aroma is clove, banana, wheat and spices. Flavor is wheat, yeast, banana, clove, and some spices. Very flat mouthfeel for a hefeweizen. Kind of dull but not to bad and the whole banana and clove flavor really isn’t my thing in the first place. Strykzone (1492), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Bottle bought in Virginia. This beer pours a cloudy, even slightly dirty, golden with no head at all. Some sediment floating. A nice spicy aroma with clove and banana. Flavor is as murky as the appearance. Some alcohol, chemical, clove and spice. I wanted to like it but that chemical element gets in the way. In the end this was an average hefe. AGAquino (92), San Juan, Puerto Rico
