Ratebeer, this is not a Hefe...it’s an American Wheat. Just because a brewery makes an unfiltered wheat ale, doesnt’ make it a hefeweizen.
too little banana and esters and too peppery and metalic quality.
Rather boring.

Cloudy blond color. Spicy wheat aroma. Weak and dry mouthfeel, spicy wheat flavor; medium-low bitterness. Correct but boring Hefeweizen.

Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with a white large head. Fruity wheat y and yeast y. Bubble gum and citrus esters, some banana and clove y notes. Cinnamon, overtly sweet with a wheat y fullness to finish. Decent wheat.

Dec 21, 2009 Overall a pretty good american wheat, nothing overly special about this beer, but it is a solid beer. I finally got around to trying this local after I picked some up for a trade.

Dec 12, 2009 Bottle in Brooklyn. Yellow body with slight white head. Sweet and wheatty taste, with lots of bananas in evidence. Nice hopes too. Watery but not bad.

Dec 6, 2009 355mL. Pours a clear yellow with a minuscule white head. Leaves no lacing. Really is an insult to a weizen glass. Aroma is actually pretty decent: rotting bananas, fruit cake, banana bread. Taste is seltzer water, lemon, sourdough bread. Watery body. Very weak, bland.

Dec 4, 2009 Bottle in my Hefe glass. Smells like rotten bananas. Pours pale, hazy yellow. Tastes like cloves, banana, citrus. Overall a good for a wheat beer but boring.

Dec 3, 2009 Very tasty Americn Hefe, comparable to some German Hefs, quickly becoming one of my faves. Hoppy, slight banana, and herbs, taste. Would go well with hearty foods, as well as on it’s own.
