| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Draught samples at Kennett Fest, 10/7/06 Soft, muted copper-beige, medium clarity with a full beige head that fades steadily to cover, leaving light lacing. Reserved nose shows dried apricots and lots of ’em. Just sort of a lightly tangy, mildly sweet sense, with some fleshy, slightly mineralic hints from the actual yeast. Light bananas, with a dusting of chocolate and very creamy, blanding wheat. Mild strength to the aroma, with no suggestion of alcohol. Typical clove/bubblegum, but less dominant here. Some sweet toffee and coffeecake-like malts are stretched VERY thin. True to the aroma, the flavor is very mild. Almost no acidity throughout, with soft peachy/apricot notes, banana flavored wheatmeal and some chewy, light toffee sweetness upon warming. There is a touch of toasted malt astringency on the finish, but it is swallowed up on the very end, by the wheat blandness. Decidedly more amounts of fruitiness emerge with warming as well, complementing the toffee and turning it more dunkelweizen-like (it is just incredibly bland when too cold). Soft enough texture, with medium amounts of carbonation (slightly loose). Just not enough malt sweetness though, typical of many wheat beers. Should then think it quite drinkable (and it is to some extent), but the dryness, wateriness and extremely mild flavors prove difficult to remain interested in, even for someone who generally enjoys low gravity beers (though this is hardly low gravity). | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2006 On tap, Kennett Square Fest 2006. Pours a slightly cloudy medium brown colored body under a small beige head. Aroma was full of fruity esters, bananas most prominantly, along with some yeast, cloves, and toasted nutty malt. Flavor wise it sort of came across as almost weizenbock like. Nutty and toasted malt under a fruity yeasty slightly sweet middle. Finishes with a little yeasty spiciness and banana. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, an interesting beer, you can really taste the contribution from each beers influence. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Appears a hazy, dark brown with a small but fluffy, light tan head. It slowly fades out and leaves lots of streaky lacing all over the glass.
Smell is of banana, toffee, clove, and yeasty spiciness that compliments the caramelized richness.
Taste is of the same aromas though slightly better with a toasted oat flavor.
Mouthfeel is tangy with wheat, along with a bit of funk flowing along the medium bodied brew.
