| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Draught. Clear amber with a sticky head. Fresh hoppy nose in a floral, resiny, citrucy fashion. Pretty clean caramel malt flavor with lots of juicy hop flavor. Reminds me of nugget nectar session version, but what did I expect. Solid amber ale. foundmd (163), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2009 On tap at Dilly Deli. Ruby amber with a small tan head. Aroma of citrus and sweet malts. Bold flavor of citrus hops, especially for the style, with a nice malt profile of caramel sweetness. Balanced mouthfeel. Good for a summer session. Snojerk321 (2020), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2009 Bottle from MrChopin. Pours a nice medium amber color with an off white head that left great lacing. Great nose of toasted malts, wheat, and a touch of hops. The hops were much more developed in the flavor. A nice toasty finish. BleacherBum (176), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Tap at a Georgetown bar in DC. Decent. The hop flavor was a little stale and cheesy. Maybe dirty tap lines? The caramel seemed evident until I drank a year old Alpha King directly afterward. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Bottle. Deep mahagony color with a small white head. Aroma is very malty and not as hoppy as I would have expected or liked. I get some faint yeasty aromas as well. Flavor is malty up front followed by a very light dose of hops. The finish is tart and lemony. Pretty nice beer. Should be more hoppy however.
