I love the smooth, thick, dry mouthfeel and the toasted chocolaty flavor. It’s got just a light bitter hoppy note that comes through in the finish deliciously. Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Malty, fruity nose with dark fruit, caramel, toffee and slightly rubbery hops. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, caramel, toffee, hints of chocolate and spicy but modest bitterness in the finish. Nice, but lacking something extra. malrubius (1004), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Mild carmael with bracing and dry bitter finish. Medium body and carbo. Sure it’s tasty, but is it an amber ale or just a copper colored IPA. You can’t just bury everything in fresh hops. I sometimes think you could fresha nd dry hop a Belgian white and it would score a 91 here. This is a good beer, but I prefer and amber to be very caramel and toasty and malty and biscuity, not an IPA with caramel coloring. jetfande (8), , Alabama, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Very happy with this one. This is my idea of a session beer. Everything about this beer is simply good. Reminds me of a souped up Yuengling with better color, taste, everything, the works. Hopheads should enjoy this one, overall better brew than 60 Minute IPA Chipper (188), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Copper colored with a beige head that retains pretty well and leaves decent lacing behind. Smell is full of resinous hops; pineapple, pine, and has some nice malt behind it too, very tropical. Bitter hops greet the tongue, a bit grassy, but leads into some resinous pine and caramel. Medium carbonation and body. I’d like a little more hops in the taste to accompany the aroma, but it’s still a good beer. mesperon (140), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Dark amber/copper with a light head. Very light flowery hop aroma (note: this was tasted with cloged sinuses, maybe not totally appreciated, worth a second try.) Mouthfeel is a little fizzy and carbonated. Flavor is very crisp, light citrus and flowery hops. The grassy biterness is not great, and it lingers and overpowers the weak flavor. Not my favorite, but worth trying again with clear sinuses. djaquay (9), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Wonderful aroma, sweet and smooth, slight bitter finish. Very much looking forward to my next one!
