| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Very clear, dark golden straw colored with a thick, fizzy head. Peaches and pineapples waft over grass and sweet caramel. Taste like a fruity hops sandwich -- not bitter, but round and malty. Slightly thin body with a nice smooth finish. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Musty hoppy aroma. Soapy. Full bodied with a zesty effervescence. Nice malt character. Caramel malt profile. Zesty citrus hops. Good grapefruit hops. Well done! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Bottle from hopdog. Thanks Steve. An amber ale here that is actually amber in color. Thin white head. Nose very hoppy for the style which I dont mind. Flavor tastes more like a bitter, hoppy ipa. Not much malt balance which is surprising, but still a nice easy drinking beer. Troegs makes some very solid products. mansquito (838), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Thick, firm, beige metallic-tasting head. Dark amber body. Fruity smell that is saying drink me. Taste of hops and easy drinkin’. Beer, like other Troegs, is kind of salty. Really easy to sit around and drink this fine example of an amber ale though. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2007 dark brown appearance. flavor is unique with a slight malt character that is quickly overwelmed by an overriding strong hoppness. The two flavors never seem to mesh together leaving a slightly uneven flavor to the beer. a quality brew but i was hoping for more
