| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Aroma: Citrus, pine, spice
Appearance: Amber-Orange, thin head, lots of lacing.
Flavor: Nice hoppy bitterness, with a good balance from the sweetness & malt. Citrus (Grapefruit, lemon?) and pine-oil.
Palate: Solid body, nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Reminds me of HopSlam in a way - as if HopSlam just turned 30 and settled down with a wife and kids. Its much more mellow, but really similar flavor. Hard to find here in OH or I’d love to find more. Really great, balanced brew. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2009 22 oz bottle poured into clear pint glass. Medium body with thick creamy white head. My favorite part of this beer was the aroma. At first thought, I smell apricot, but it could be something else; it was definately a citrus of some sort. I would have rated the beer higher if it wasnt so bitter. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle thanks to drgonzo3705, thanks Paul! Pours a murky amber color with a small lasting 1 finger head. I could pick up citrus, pine and a lot of malt. This was a classic amber ale on steroids. I enjoyed the hop profile up front but I felt that the malts overpowered the beer. I would love to try this one fresh as it has a lot of potential. Despite the aforementioned problem for me I had no problem finishing my glass. I will re-rate when I get a fresh bottle next year. Hophead22 (1090), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA

Amber/orange pour with a white sticky head. Citrus hop aroma, very nice. Light hop flavor, not what I expected, not really any comparison to Pliny.
