On tap at Zeno’s Pub - State College, PA. Illustrious aroma, loaded with magnificent soaps of bergamot and grapefruit, backed with bold minty leaves and glorious hop cone sugars. Damn, this smells great. Terrific aroma, that has amalgamated into just an incredible hop nose like none other. Not bready, but floral, tropical and bold. Great. Pours in a coppered-amber, with a long silky whitish lace. Flavor develops a different, unique character. This time spiciness and muskiness blow through on wooden ships. Quality. Fresh and glowing. There’s no coarse bitterness, just effluents of really fragrant, fresh hop cones. Heavily drinkable and carrying a delicate hop presentation. Malt lags lightly, but it doesn’t matter with this hop presentation. Finishes on a swirl of spiced delights, all middle eastern. All around a hop winner for terrific execution, flavor, and lack of killer bitterness. Yum,

Bottle thanks to franksnbeans. Pours a light copper-amber color with a moderate off-white head that left some decent lacing. Nice spicy, resiny hops with some citrus in the aroma as well. Sweet, slightly citric malts upon entry lead into a slightly bitter, semi-piney hop presence with a bit more citrus. Bitterness ended somewhat abruptly, which seemed a bit weird. Finish is semi-sweet, body is nice though. A dang nice IPA that isn’t overly bitter, and pretty flavorful.

Bottle - Pours a clear dark orange/amber of with fluffy white head. Aroma is all hops; piney, floral and citrus with the faintest backing of malt. Flavor is initially bitter with a slightly malty presence. Middle is all grapefruit and citrus, orange peel zest with some light pine. Medium body that finishes slightly dry with a light alcohol presence/warmth.

Bottle from mwelsh13. Strong juicy fruit hop aroma. A little perfume too. Copper pour with a lasting white head and great lacing. Moderate floral bitterness as well as apricot, tangerine, light citrus, etc. Nice caramel malt balance creates a very fruity effect with this one. A clean bitterness with some lingering floral hops.

Pours a clear dark copper with a quickly diminishing head. Hop aroma persists straight from the start, & is strong through the middle of the tongue; very pleasant. Finishes crisp, but also leaves you with a taste. Dubbed an "imperial amber ale," & kind of reminds me of the Oskar Blues Gordon a bit.

Clear orange amber with nice white fluffy head. Big floral fruity apricot hops aroma. Nice palate, not watery at all - just so smooth and creamy. Nice palate and nice flavor - not as bitter as the smell suggests. Decent hops flavor - I just wanted more of it!

Troegs Nugget Nectar Ale is amber with a white head. Lots of malt and hops in the flavor. A very good and hoppy amber ale. It wasn’t as hoppy as most IPA’s but I thought it was good and very well balanced.

Thanks MuenchenerKindl for this one The bottle poured into a standard pint glass produced a good three fingers worth of white head on top of a brilliantly clear amber body .The head dissipated to a nice thin coating of lace that slides down the glass Aromas’ of pine and spruce it smell like walking in the woods on a nice summer day Tastes of hops not overly bitter the sweet malts flavors help smooth it out Nice crisp mouth feel with enough carbonation for your tongue I’ll say it like everyone else if you’re a hop head you have to try this one. It’s a great beer, but I don’t know if I’d drink more than a couple in one sitting
