Commercial Description:
TASTING NOTES Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is our interpretation of the classic dry stout style. Dark and creamy with hints of chocolate and black currants, our Oatmeal Stout includes a healthy dose of Centennial and Chinook hops creating a unique stout perfect for the late Fall and Winter.

FOOD COMPLEMENTS With a full-bodied, creamy finish, Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is best with desserts; it is the perfect companion to dark chocolates, cocoa-based treats, caramels, peanut butter desserts and vanilla ice cream.

Black. Smooth rich caramel taste that was right on the cusp of being fantastic but something held it back, but it was still good.

A delicious dry stout. Very balanced, roasty and oaty flavor, leaves a superb, warm and delicate aftertaste that lingers gingerly for ages.

A dark beer with a creamy head. Very filling and a bit thick. Very cramy tasting with some choclolate flavors. I love this beer.

Bottle. Decent aroma. Pours a very dark body with little head. Flavor is very sweet but not overpowering, good, very drinkable. Not a palate that sticks. Pretty good sweet stout. Cheers!

Pours a dark brown with an average bubbly tan head that left some lacing. Aroma of cocoa, caramel, roasted malt, light coffee, lactose and oatmeal. Flavor of cocoa, coffee, lacstose, sweet roasted malts light hop bitterness.

Malty, chocolate, and some oat in the aroma, brown black color, first three swallows were rich malty, and chocolate, really didn’t pick up on the coffee, more sweetness than dryness, taste got a little bitter towards middle, more a malt bitterness than hop, left that slight oatmeal oiliness on the tongue afterwards. Excellent oatmeal

Deep dark brown body. Aromas of malt, coffee and chocolate. Nice flavor of malt, coffee and chocolate as well. The finish was a little lighter than most, but still had a decent creaminess.

Dark opaque brown body with a small tan head that faded rather quickly. Aroma that accompanies oatmeal stouts was quickly recognizable. Slight coffee and chocolate notes in the aroma as well. Taste was much of the same but was there maybe a hint of alcohol in the taste? A wonderful beer that left me wanting more... too bad I only bought a single!
