Commercial Description:
TASTING NOTES Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is our interpretation of the classic dry stout style. Dark and creamy with hints of chocolate and black currants, our Oatmeal Stout includes a healthy dose of Centennial and Chinook hops creating a unique stout perfect for the late Fall and Winter.

FOOD COMPLEMENTS With a full-bodied, creamy finish, Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is best with desserts; it is the perfect companion to dark chocolates, cocoa-based treats, caramels, peanut butter desserts and vanilla ice cream.

This beer poured a beautiful black accompanied by a rich tan head. There was a strong coffee aroma that gave way to a chocolatey taste. This is a good beer that is very robust and offers a great taste.

Almost black with very little head. Nice roasted malt/coffee aroma. Good body with a coffee/chocolate finish. Pretty good, but not in the league of Lancaster Milk Stout.

Acquired via trade. This brew is a nearly opaque brown/black with a thin light tan head. Thin, sticky lacing. The aroma packs a bit of a punch, with roasted malt, coffee and some chocolate. Medium-bodied and smooth with a nice bittersweet chocolate and coffee flavor. Some malt and hops too. The finish is lightly hoppy with a small bitter coffee aftertaste. This is one of the more flavorful Oatmeal Stouts I have had. Well done!

Bottle. Pours black in color with just the slightest hints of ruby when backlit. Nice brown head. Good lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, a hint of raisin and some oatmeal notes. Medium bodied. Nice sweetish flavors mix with deeply roasted grains and coffee flavors. Sparse hop bitterness towards the end, long coffee flavors seem to last quite a while. Tasty. Thanks BTG!!!

Pours ink black with a rocky mocha-colored head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and burnt chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet, some bakers chocolate, roasted almonds, and a delicate bitterness at the end. Very enjoyable.
