Commercial Description:
TASTING NOTES Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is our interpretation of the classic dry stout style. Dark and creamy with hints of chocolate and black currants, our Oatmeal Stout includes a healthy dose of Centennial and Chinook hops creating a unique stout perfect for the late Fall and Winter.

FOOD COMPLEMENTS With a full-bodied, creamy finish, Tröegs Oatmeal Stout is best with desserts; it is the perfect companion to dark chocolates, cocoa-based treats, caramels, peanut butter desserts and vanilla ice cream.

(Bottle) Pours a opaque bodya and a thin, brown head. Coffee, whiskey and gritty. Good!

Citrus hops exploiting bread crumbs...Milky, bitter chocolate evolving into a slight astringency...A gifted example of thoroughness within normality...

Deep black color with a thick beige head. The aroma was delcious...sweet hazelnut and toffee, roasted coffee, subtle smokiness. The oats really come out in the flavor with some nice sweet coffee tones...slight hops bitterness in the aftertaste. The feel was not as creamy as I like in an oatmeal stout, but it was very refreshing...somewhat crisp on the tongue.

Opaque black color with a thick brown head. Roasty and faintly floral aroma. Rich flavors of roasted coffee with some sweet malt, and a fairly dry hops finish.

Thick, rich brown head of very fine bubbles. Aroma dominated by dry coffee with some roasted malts. Color is black with no dicernable carbonation. Flavor is thick and rich (from the oats) with more coffee, roasted malts and a touch of hops. Finish is very good with a nice bitter, hoppy aftertaste that is unexpected and leaves the mouth puckering. An excellent sweet stout with a surprise at the end.

thanks to argo0 for this one. Black, meringue like tan head. The mouthfeel is light, the taste is roasty & slightly sweet. A nice winter beer

Cask. Black in color, with tan head. Nice roasty, rich aroma. Full complex flavor. Chocolaty and roasty. No real defects. Enjoyable beer.
