That milkiness that oats give to it. Malted chocolate,Vanilla, and when cold a pine that faded as it warmed. Dark orangy brown color, small head that faded moderately. Minor lace. Bitter flavor, totally loses the good part of the aroma. Turns sharp & roasty.A viney/grapiness takes over. Lite chocolate remains. Medium body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, Bitterdry finish. Good, aroma gave me higher hopes than the flavor delivered. Too viney for my preference in Oatmeal stout. Thanks zathrus13. After reading the commercial description I can get the black current that they were going for, I’m just not diggin it. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

Aroma: bursting with roasted malts, cocoa and vanilla. The flavor is filled with vanilla and even has a really nice nuttiness to it. I’m particularly fond of the full, chewy mouthfeel. notalush (2669), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2006 Very dark brown pour, with a creamy, lasting tan head - aroma of coffee and cream, hot cocoa, a bit of vanilla, and background plum hints - smooth mouthfeel, medium body - drier than most sweet stouts, with quite a potent espresso bitterness to it - cocoa and chocolate pudding come later, along with a hint of toffee - semi-dry, moderately bitter finish - quite nice. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Pours almost black with a dark tan head which gives decent lacing. The aroma has creamy chocolate and a good amount of roasted malt - very rich and smooth. Medium / thick body that is quite smooth along with a large amount of carbonation. The taste starts with chocolate malt and spicy hops - creamy then spritzy. The finish has more spicy hops and a good amount of charred malt. Very nice oatmeal stout. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma and flavor of coca and coffee with a touch of hops. Feels creamy to the palate but also has a crisp dry finish. Very nice. SledgeJr (2961), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2006 In the bottle. Pours black with a thick beige head. The head subsides rather rapidly. The aroma is distinctive- Liquid Tootsie Rolls! Orange, chocolate and caramel. The taste is sweet, then tart, then chocolate. This is a great stout. Has a residual roasted coffee flavor at the end. Yummy.
