This pale ale has a nice hoppy / citrus aroma with crisp bitter taste. Nice balance, pretty good stuff. TheCaptain (555), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2008 Bottle- Copper pour with the aroma of pine but not overwhelming, thin head. When you move towards the hoppy side for this pale ale for me a little too much. Drinkable but not a favorite. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2008 Very Pleasant. It’s aroma is very hoppy, with some malt coming through. The appearance is a copper-color, a sort of yellow-orange, but transparent. It’s head is minor. The flavor is very good, not to hoppy, the taste is very crisp and clean, some nice malt in there. Feels nice, no unneccassary sting, or bitter beer face. It’s not very bitter for a pale ale and that’s why it’s one of my favorites. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA

Distinctly American, Troegs Pale Ale is clean and crisp. Would be great at a barbecue. Pale Ale that’s right on the money. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Poured a clear flat bodied amber with a small white pillowy head. Aroma of caramel, brown bread and floral hops. Flavor was a notch up from the aroma and had a large biscuit flavor followed by lots of bitterness. Decent beer but then again I thought mu high school guidance counselor was decent untill I wound up trapped in a life of hell.
