May 12, 2008 Very Pleasant. It’s aroma is very hoppy, with some malt coming through. The appearance is a copper-color, a sort of yellow-orange, but transparent. It’s head is minor. The flavor is very good, not to hoppy, the taste is very crisp and clean, some nice malt in there. Feels nice, no unneccassary sting, or bitter beer face.

May 8, 2008 Good beer which is quite pleasant to drink with a thin head. It’s not very bitter for a pale ale and that’s why it’s one of my favorites.

Apr 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours an mmber color with a decent size off white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and caramel malt. Taste of citrus, semi sweet malt and hops. Has a crisp light bitter finish.

Apr 29, 2008 Ghostly pale, this Troegs brew is dry and hoppy-ish without being bitter. Distinctly American, Troegs Pale Ale is clean and crisp. Would be great at a barbecue. Pale Ale that’s right on the money.

Apr 26, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Poured a clear flat bodied amber with a small white pillowy head. Aroma of caramel, brown bread and floral hops. Flavor was a notch up from the aroma and had a large biscuit flavor followed by lots of bitterness. Decent beer but then again I thought mu high school guidance counselor was decent untill I wound up trapped in a life of hell.

Apr 25, 2008 Cask at Pizzeria Paradiso in Georgetown. Served at cellar temperature. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color. Head was thin, white, and left some lace behind. Pleasant aroma of citrusy/flowery hops and malty caramel. Smooth cask mouth feel with a touch of sweetness and expected light carbonation. There was also some mild hop bitterness. Nicely balanced flavors that followed the aroma. Great beer.

Apr 22, 2008 Orange red pour with a white head. Terrible skunky aroma. Slightly sweet, almost syrupy yeasty flavor with the same sort of skunkiness detected on the aroma. This stuff was terrible. I’ve liked almost everything I’ve tried from Troeg’s but was severely disappointed by this one.
