Restrained hop nose with straw and light orange hints. A bit to carbonated for the style, in my opinion. Upfront the flavor has a soft citrus/orange notes with later grainy malt hints. A typical Pale Ale. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA

VERY golden in color w/no head. very very smooth. goes down real easy and could drink a lot of these and wouldn’t mind doing so. a bit fruity but not over powering. it’s got kind of a tangy feel but not bad. not a big pale ale fan but this is good. 45thstbrewer (94), Conowingo, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2008 Troeg’s Pale Ale is good. I didn’t think it was anything too special but it is well-balanced. There are much better pale ales out there to try. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Cask at Blind Tiger. Very cloudy orange brew. Bright, fresh cascade aroma. Grapefruit, orange peel and light resiny hoppiness. Soft dry-hopped aroma. Flavour is excellent. Bright fresh hoppiness, intensely fruity with loads of sweet hoppy flavour. Rich malty character. Lightly bready malts. An excellent hoppy pale ale. The cask works very well for this brew. RCL (1479), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Tasting @ Capone’s: Poured a clear golden yellow with not too much head. The aroma was that of some pine and earthy hops. The flavor was well balanced, with a clean hoppy finish. Very drinkable and very good tasting Pale Ale. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Pours a clear amber color. Aroma is pine with a light malt background. Taste is pine and grassy hops. Light in the citrus with a pretty big maltiness. A good APA, seems less "intense" than other Troegs beers. Good session beer, easy to drink.
