The aroma was that of some pine and earthy hops. The flavor was well balanced, with a clean hoppy finish. Very drinkable and very good tasting Pale Ale. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Pours a clear amber color. Aroma is pine with a light malt background. Taste is pine and grassy hops. Light in the citrus with a pretty big maltiness. A good APA, seems less "intense" than other Troegs beers. Good session beer, easy to drink. I was surprised how hoppy it is, but it is well balanced just the same. There is a slight citrus taste and a touch of bitterness. It is very crisp. It is a good beer to drink while watching a football game. Skeegle (499), Maryland, USA

Citrus and floral hop aromas. Even malt flavors with bright and crisp citrusy hops. Has a bit of a minerally quality as well. Medium to full bodied. Pretty good APA. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright copper color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was moderately sweet and fruity hops. The flavor was crisp, bitter and had a nice blend of fruity and floral hops and a light peppery undertone. The finish was longish and somewhat dry with a lingering hop presence. Very nice for the style. gabbama (116), Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Very nice floral hoppy aroma that belies a rather weak flavor and mouthfeel. Hops are nice, but almost no malt character. Rather disappointing considering Troegs numerous successes in other beers.
