Commercial Description:
Tröegs Pale Ale is an American style Pale Ale that is aggressively hopped with Northwest Cascades and balanced with Belgian crystal malts to create a hoppy, copper-colored crisp ale. An excellent example of a classic American Pale Ale.

Very nice citrus aroma with a slight malt back bone. Taste follows suit, but a little watery. Average.

Bottle. Pours clear dark golden with a small head. Aroma of pine, brown sugar and grapefruit. Taste almost has a creaminess to it that I don’t expect from a pale ale. Hops could be more assertive.

12oz. Less than stellar, somewhat of a disappointment from Troegs. Light copper with a smallish head. Not much of a nose, the body is soft and thin, and left me wanting with mostly straight-forward hops and malt.

Light copper body...off white head...fresh citrus aroma, blended with malts, with a nice floral essence that pulls it all together....thin body with a refreshing quality taste...delish hops...lemon/orange rind as well, balanced very well...delicate lacing also

12 oz. bottle. Pours orange with off white head. The aroma is citrusy, grapefruit mostly, with some brown sugar behind it. The flavor is kind of sweet and citrusy, more like orange than the grapefruit in the nose. There is a pretty level bitterness across the mouth and a sweetish maltiness. That grapefruit kicks in a little in the finish. Pretty refreshing.

The aroma is sufficiently hoppy, but a little yeasty.Thistle and grapefruit are present. Amber color, thin white head. Floral taste of rose and lillies, a bit on the bitter side, but still good. Round bodied. Weak grapefruit peel finish. Nothing exciting, but it’s pretty good.

Strong hop aroma and good deep color. Not as hoppy as the HopBack and more malty with a bit of a bitter after taste.
