Aroma of citrus, pine and mellow caramel malt. Flavor is a great balance of sweet and bitter that is slightly leaning towards the bitter side. Medium body with average carbonation and a long dry finish. This reminds me a lot of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but just a bit less hop flavor and aroma. Very nice. swoopjones (1903), Buffalo, New York, USA

About a half inch high head forms, cream in color, showing tremendous retention. At first scent you are hit with the strong aroma of grapefruit citrus fragrance along with with a grassy aroma. There is also the feint scent of malty mildness finishing off the aroma. That malt comes out at the front of each taste, mild in flavor, almost like a light to bland bread flavor. Then as it reaches the halfway point the hops take over, with grassy, earthy flavors at first, then finishing with a grapefruit bitterness. A light to medium bodied feel, light at the front and gaining weight as it crosses the palate. This is a solid, if not a very good pale ale. Very easy to drink, plus you can throw this at many different dishes and dinners. screigh (260), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Pours a nice dark golden color. Little head with no lasting power. Aroma is hops and dirt...kind of gross. Taste is on with the aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Some tartness in the flavor. Thin, bland and not worth my money again. Damico (173), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2009 It has a dark golden appearance. It is light in both aroma and flavor, which is why I believe it’s commercial description says crisp flavored. I love Cascade hops because they are so smooth. AskForJenny (646), Ontario, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Hazy orange pour with a grapefruit nose. Flat and watery on palate. Looked the part, didn’t taste the part. mctous (119), Herndon, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2009 The aroma and pour are decent enough but do not really suggest the level of excellence the flavor and palate display.
The crystal malt rounds out the pale malt, just as the Liberty hops add floral notes to the citric Cascades. All these ingredients blend and balance very well indeed.
