12 oz bottle via trade with Frumpty (thanks!). Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Mild citrus aroma. Taste is straightforward and extremely balanced with neither hops nor malts overpowering the other, but enough of both to make it interesting and tastey. Caramel, orange, lemon, and a tiny bit of grass come to mind. Light to medium body. Very very good Ale and very easy to drink. Wish i could get these around here. Pours clear orange with little head and no lacing. Flavor is also mostly malts with a touch of citrus hops. Palate is clean and crisp. Not interesting enough to warrant any attention. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

Fairly balanced brew. Would recommend this APA harrisoni (6800), Ashford, Kent, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2006 The aroma has grapefruit, caramel, and biscuits. The appearance is amber gold with a small head. The flavor is just like the aroma with a malt and citrus aftertaste. The palate is full and smooth. Overall it’s a winner. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Light copper and a small amount of head. Aroma is not promising. Kind of metallic, lemony, maybe some maltiness. Flavor is redeeming, though. The right amount of bitterness for a pale ale. still a kind of lemony and piney hoppiness. somewhat soapy. Light enough for a session beer. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Somewhat of a surprise, since I wasn’t expecting much from this beer based on the other Troegs I’ve had. Very fresh, grassy, piney and slightly bitter flavor, nice grassy hop cone and leaf nose. Fresh tasting. Palate is a good measure between frothy and fizzy, but overall I think this pale ale falls right in with Full Sail and Sierra Nevada as far as common drinkability is concerned.
