| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2005 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a small fizzy white head. Citric and piney hop aroma, grapefruity and earthy. Citric hop flavor with a sharp and spicy hop finish. A little low on the malt maybe, lacks a little balance. A little thin and overcarbonated yielding an unimpressive mouthfeel. Nice American Pale Ale, but could use more balance. A tad more malt would not only balance but provide some much needed body. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA

Very citrusy on the nose and in the hop flavor. Pretty hoppy all the way through. A good refreshing APA. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2005 Gold color with a large head. Grainy aroma with some hops lingering on the end. Very dry hop taste which I believe are Cascade hops. Not much else. One dimensional, but a good session pale ale. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Bottle. This is what I want in an American micro Pale ale! It has enough hops and malts to deliver a bitter flavor which comes with an aftertaste which is more dry than the other Troegs in the sampler pack. Some may say cookie cutter pale ale but I think this one climbs a few extra steps. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 26, 2005 12oz. bottle. Clear amber color with a medium white head. Hoppy(cascade) aroma with some sweet malt in the background, along with some butterscotch. Sweet malty flavor with a decent balance of bitter hops. As the beer warmed, the butterscotch flavor and aroma came through and started to turn me off.
