Aug 18, 2004 Bottle. I loved this pale ale! Unlike so many, the hops are strong and assertive, but are well ballanced by a very nice grainy undertone. So many pale ales are nothing but hops. This beer carries itself quite well.

Aug 16, 2004 Nice amber color,small white head that had a short life but managed to leave a slight lace behind.The aroma was grapefruit,hops and a slight bitter tone in there as well.Nie grapefruit flavor with a slight bitter sweetness to it.The hops are nicely done on this one not to much or to little.The finish is mildly bitter with a nice hop grapefruit after taste.Very nice brew and easy to drink as well.Thanks go to Slob for sending this nice brew my way.

Jul 19, 2004 Bright orange in color with an off white head. Smell is heavy in floral hops. Light floral and citric bitterness balanced well by a maltiness. Good pale ale.

Jul 6, 2004 Nice amber color with medium sized off white head. Aroma was a nice 50/50 mix of malt and hop. Taste has a light bitterness and sweet maltiness, making it very well balanced. Notes of lemongrass, grapefruit, pepper and pine.

Jul 2, 2004 07.02.04 12oz bottle. Nice, clear amber color; big foamy, brainy, but fleeting head leaves sheets of sticky lace. Clean, perfumey Cascade aroma. Flavor is light, fruity, bright, crisp. Very refreshing and easy drinking as a session beer; it’s not very bitter. The crystal maltiness is especially evident as the beer comes to temperature, but I like this one pretty chilled.

Jun 24, 2004 It’s Pennsylvania APA night at my house and next up is Troegs APA. Beautiful Amber nectar with picture perfect head. Very different from the Stoudts. Much more hoppy and bitter. Not as citrusy or sweet but definitely has a lipton lemon sweet tea undertone. Very nice beer. I’m going to call this a very close race. I’m going to give this round to Troegs. Excellent beer but just by a single strand of hair.

Jun 12, 2004 Pours a beautiful clear amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma is mostly malt with some floral hoppiness. Taste is pretty sweet with plenty of malt, hops with notes of grapefruit, citrus and caramel. Mildly bitter for an APA. Mouthfeel is very full, round, creamy and chewy. Nice lacing on the glass. Quality brew.
