Commercial Description:
Tröegs Pale Ale is an American style Pale Ale that is aggressively hopped with Northwest Cascades and balanced with Belgian crystal malts to create a hoppy, copper-colored crisp ale. An excellent example of a classic American Pale Ale.

On tap at RnH (Midtown, NYC): Wow I wasn’t expecting the tartness that comes with this beer. Not spectacular. Light hops mask some sweet citrus notes in there. Not bad, but easily forgetable. #042 on 01072009, DG.

Bought at Vintage Estates in Ohio, label on bottle is different from the label shown here on RateBeer, has a very clear copper pour with a little amber and orange thrown in, a white one to two finger high head appears and collapses to a thin cover and ring, leaves some lacing on the glass, nice citrus-floral cascade hops with malt candy and honey sweetness on the nose, and toasted malt fragrances, flavor of toasted and faint caramel malts, some hop pine and bitterness on the palate, medium mouth feel, nice Pale Ale.

bottle at the deli for a meet the brewers event in state college pa. This beer pours brownish amber color zero head. The smell is of most pale ales citrus and lightly hopped. The taste is ok since I’m a hop head pale ales just don’t excite me I need more hops. It wasnt bad it was a good beer.

Aroma is good - sticky citrus hops. Pours a pale copper color with no head. Taste is pretty good, but leaves something to be desired, namely more hops. Does not have a strong enough bite in the finish. Good beer, certainly drinkable, but needs more omph.
