Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is moderately hoppy with notes of bready malt. Medium body with grassy hops and malt flavors. The finish remains grassy and hoppy and does not last very long. Overall a decent and drinkable beer, but is not up to snuff with a lot of the APAs out there. skaterclaytr (7), Maryland, USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2009 Pours very clear. Smells as if you’ll get a nice suprise of solid hoppiness, but sadly disappoints. Pale Ale Light... Ja29ck (25), Salisbury, Maryland, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2009 Sampled as a precursor to Dogbrick’s Eurostash tasting. Cloudy gold color with a huge white head. Malty aroma balanced by grassy hops. Malt flavor with a hop back that is rather thin. Not bad for the style I guess, but I’m used to hoppier APAs. All the SNPA haters out there would really be disappointed with this one. smcolw (373), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Crystal clear and bright copper in color. Modest head but it retains some bubbles. Minimal lace.
Excellent blend of hop and lighter malts in the nose.
Fresh hop flavor in the taste--somewhat prickly in a pine needle sort of way. Good malt base; closer to a amber ale on the malt side. The body is thinner than I would expect, but that may be the only distraction. This is one of the better APA’s I’ve had. dzzz333 (21), Elkton, Maryland, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Source: 12 oz bottle purchased in Washington, DC. Appearance: Poured a clear dark gold color with a one finger white head. Aroma: Grassy hops, with notes of pine and caramel malt Flavor: A good hoppy flavor with a pleasant bitter finish and a solid caramel malt base. Palate: Medium body with good carbonation and a clean mouthfeel. Overall: The hops had faded a bit from this one, but the caramel malt base was excellent. Another fine brew from Troegs.
