The aroma reminds me of caramel, some butterscotch, and the slight hint of roasted grains. The flavor is very close to the aroma except fuller. It is nutty, roasted, caramel tasting. It has a medium body with low carbonation. I enjoy this beer and wouldn’t hesitate to drink a six-pack. lowgun1212 (83), Montclair, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Nutty roasted malt aroma with some chocolate notes and a hint of hops. Nice light toasted malt and nutty chocolate flavors. Looses points with me for a pretty thin, watery body. Overall, not bad but nothing spectacular here. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very light lacing. Aroma is a veggie like, lightly roasted malt with a hint of nuts. Also has a good bit of herbal hops in the aroma. Flavor is toasted malt, chocolate, and light nuttiness. Soft palate, but a tad thin. Light to medium body. A pretty good Brown ale. Thanks Alan. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Pours dark brown with a tall but unstable tan head. Very chocolatey aroma definitely with a roasted character that could be nut-like. Taste is definitely nutty, also with a little chocolate in the middle and on the end. Thin body though, and a flavor that doesn’t really last or really stand out. Really like the initial sweet nutty flavor though. AmEricanbrew (1860), Washington DC, USA
