Nice color and aroma. Not a great addition to the nut brown category though. Other great beers like Samuel Smith’s blows Troegs out of the water. Not bad on draught though if ou can find it.

Can not believe I did not rate this yet. Brown, creamy, nutty. Typical brown ale here.

Considerably dark brown color presented, with a decent layer of toast-colored foam on top. Inviting nose of maple wood, mesquite, brown sugar and real maple syrup. However, there are also some light fuesal notes present, and a musty cereal grain presence that’s hard to ignore. Somewhat chewy on the palate, that’s my initial thought, lightly frothy, with some cinnamon toast and maple flavors, though fairly light. Nothing astounding or rich, rather a plastic and paper blandness throughout, with little pockets of maple and brown sugar flavor. Even approaches a little robustness and chewiness at times, only to let you down quickly with a starchy blandness which dominates the finish. Overall this one keeps saying to me: "middle of the road"

Tap@Philly Airport "Brewpub". Red brown chestnut, creamy brown head. Light roast, nuts, caramel. Medoium to light body, thin mouyhfeel. Coffee roast aftertaste.

Brown-amberish brew, foamy tan head. Very nutty aroma with notes of caramel. Kind of watery roasted nut flavor with a hint of pear. Very light bodied.

I like a lot of the Troegs beers, but this one was an average brown ale. Good loking dark brown/black beer, no head to speak of. Thin in body and a bit watery in flavor. The kind of beer I might drink if I was doing an all day party.

Clear amber-brown body with a fading, sudsy beige head. Sweet warm caramel and toffee aroma. Flavor has notes of caramel, light fruit, and chocolate with a subtle edge of roast in the finish. Medium sweet and pleasant. A nice brown ale and another solid beer from Tröegs. Pairs reasonably well with a cigar.

Pours brown with ruby highlights and a tiny, off-white head that quickly fades to a cover. The aroma is caramel, toffee, bread with a touch of golden raisins. The flavor is nuts, toffee and green grapes. The mouthfeel is light and thin.
