Aroma is lightly roasty (coffee, toasted walnut), and some maple with leafy hops and metallic hints. Body is smooth with a pleasing eff, long wet finish. Good session stuff, but I’d prefer the equally present Brooklyn with its mild acidity. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA

I would much rather drink a porter. I love the way this beer looked and was excited to try it, but just the same brown ale flavor that I don’t like
re-rate sample in tasting room: aroma is of chocolate malt, with light hop in background. Brown in color. Flavor was slightly chocolaty with a nice nutty taste. I really liked it better than the bottle that I had sampled last summer. slightly watery palate. But I liked it a lot. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

Perfect antidote to an overused palate. Not too strong but just veyr well balanced, flavorful, easy to drink, nothing offensive about it. jcwattsrugger (5563), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma very muted, standard sweet malt with slight nuttiness background. Flavor again caramel malt sweetness, nutty character really hidden. Grainy residuel aftertaste. Agree with others slightly undercarbonated, don’t think it really detracts though. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2006 where is the carbonation in this thing. Pours with virtually no head at all. Otherwise, it’s an OK beer. Good nutty, malty aroma. Taste is the same. Not exceptionally sweet. Some of that nutty/cherry flavor that comes in this style. Not much bitterness or hops at all. Severely undercarbonated. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
