Sep 16, 2005 Pours dark brown with a medium tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is a bit sweet with some cocoa and roastiness. Flavor is a little weak and slightly metallic. Some mild nuttiness and caramel flavors, but seems almost watered down. Chalky finish.

Aug 19, 2005 Full nutty, malt aroma, but little of the hops the comm descrip states. Stills mells good. Dark brown, knocking on black’s door, but no one has answered just yet. This is a session beer champ right here folks. Nice smooth malt profile with a touch of roasted malt. This is the kind of beer that needs to be readily availible everywhere. This is the kind of beer that that lends itself well to drinking while you hang out with the guys. Thanks to Slob for another awesome beer.

Jul 18, 2005 On draught at richlikebeer annual festa. Aroma nice roasted malt. Tapped a nice dark brown foamed brown head. Taste was roasted malt and nutty, finishing out a tinge of bitterness and sweetness. Palate was enjoyable, not too heavy or light. A good all around brew that was enjoyable to drink for hours.

Jul 15, 2005 Bottle. Deep brown color, little head, and not much on the nose. Medium body. Subdued toasted malt flavor and just a hint of sweetness. Surprisingly bitter for a Nut Brown, which is ok with me.

Jul 13, 2005 Medium brown with a rich roasted malt aroma. Nicely rounded, smooth and somewhat warming. Flavors were more roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. The nuttiness could have been emphasized more. Hop flavors took control at the end but overall pretty good, bold with a touch of sweetness.

Jul 4, 2005 This beer offered a beautiful pour showing an almost dark amber/brown with a good head. The aroma is earthy with a roasted appeal. The flavor offers a lot of nuttiness but backed by a smooth maltiness allowing each to blend and compliment the other. Definately one of the best brown ales that I enjoy. A sure bet for a good beer to try.
