blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Nov 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Roasted coffee in the aroma, with some floral hops. The flavor is well balanced, with coffee, roasted malt, and floral hoppy notes. Tasty. chriso (4666), London, Greater London, England Nov 6, 2009 22oz bomber from Charles Street Liquors, Boston MA. Very dark. Almost black with a slight ruby tinge. Small tan head. More chocolate than coffee in the aroma - lets call it mocha. Bournville chocolate, cocoa powder and espresso coffee on the palate. Quite dry and fairly bitter. Full bodied but not too thick, so easier drinking than expected, with a quite prickly carbonation. Turns a little creamy on the finish. Perhaps just a touch harsh on the palate but that’s only a minor quibble. Overall, extremely tasty and fascinating. I’d certainly go back to this one.
twindog (69), Hampstead, Maryland, USA Nov 6, 2009 Pours dark brown with a large tan lingering head that stiicks to the sides of the glass. Lacking a little bit of the coffee flavor but leaves a nice thick coating in your mouth. Smooth, creamey with a silky finish. douglas88 (1555), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Nov 3, 2009 22 ounce bottle thanks to hopdog. A rich oat flavor, sweet milky coffee, light bitter coffee beans. Easygoing and full flavored. A soft palate. noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 2, 2009 Big thanks to machfive55. Dark brown pour, black in the glass, with an open, frothy tan head. Glasscoating lace. Faint coffee aroma. Flavor pairs iced coffee with the fruitier roasted malt flavors, cherry, strawberry, licorice. Chocolate and fig bringing up the bittersweet finish. Medium body, palate is slightly dry and very lively with a smooth, creamy carbonation. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2009 Dark brown with a big brown long lasting head.
