| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2009 12oz bottle from Capone’s, Norristown. After a customary disclaimer about the style (meh), I have to say that Troegs did a pretty good job zazzing this one up. Nose is moderately malty (thankfully not the treacle you often get), with a hint of smoke, and a mostly dry quality that also comes to characterize the flavor of the beer. The mouthfeel is nicely full, and the taste is nicely subdued. Seems a shame that the beer’s virtues (not too heavy or assertive) may also be not so much faults but what keep it from a higher rating. Nice Hallertau tang and grassiness, but still not a fave style. kkearn (1000), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 19, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours yellow-copper, topped with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is on the sweet side, with caramel at the forefront, and a little floral hop and yeast in the background. Caramel fades into the background in the flavor; yeast is prominent at first, then earthy hops take over and hand out for a long finish. This is ok and fairly easy to drink, but it’s not as impressive as some other scratch beers. daknole (2918), Plantation, Florida, USA

Flavor is light and somewhat bland. Caramel malt and bready notes are most noticeable. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2009 12 oz bottle from Capones. Poured a slightly chill induced haze orange/amber with a slightly large fluffy off white head. Aroma is all malts and loaded with sweetness. Flavor is rather sweet and starts off with some uncooked dough that gives way to cereal grains and a slight touch of spice. For a session beer this one will do just fine but at $3.50 a bottle from a bottle shop that makes this $21.00 a 6er or $84.00 a case, No F’n Way!!! adrian910ss (1414), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
