Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Apr 3, 2009 Poured gold with a white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Some spice but more fruit. Don’t believe its 10. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Mar 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with a white head. Cereal and citric fruits, big etoh warm and sweet. Chewy candi sugars with vanilla and some spices. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 16, 2009 Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Miver. Pours a cloudy and opaque golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast and fruit. Medium body, lightly sweet fruit, minerals and vitamin C. Some yeastiness also. Dry finish without any greater bitterness. 010209 yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 1, 2009 From bottle, blindtasting #10. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Dry malty aroma, somewhat cotton like. Mild spiced and dry hoppy base flavoured, yet with a solid sweet malt base - clearly declining towards the finish. Light malty note. Dry and spiced finish, lasting bitter and dry impression into the far finish. Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jan 24, 2009 Bottled. Poured near-clear (hazy with latter pours) brighter golden with a dusting of white head. Light fruit skins and black pepper jump out from the aroma with pale malts in a supporting role.. sweetness hit the back of the nostrils. The flavor was strong with lots of boozy residual sugars that carried through the long finish.. black pepper and cloves gave nice accents.. yeasty and warm overall. Heavier-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. spicy and engaging. douglas88 (1557), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jan 12, 2009 Bottle thanks to goldtwins. Pours a clear golden color, very bright with a medium white head. A sweet aroma; spices, malt, some banana, cloves, lemons, very nice. The flavor is very smooth but not weak at all; a real mix of sweet bananas, malts, and sugars, mixed with a peppery spicy aspect, a light sulfur-like flavor. Bready and full, with a nice carbonated body. These retired beers are always interesting, the age has done it well, and it should hold up for years to come. Ends with a light and somewhat sour lemon. Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Jan 6, 2009 Pours gold with a white bolloey head. Smells soapy and dry with some candi sugar and pepper. Tastes spicy and dry with some grassy elements and a nice touch of sweetness on the finish. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2008 This one has a golden color with a nose full of candi sugar and faded hops. Citrus all the way in the flavor - sweet and a tad hoppy, but not as balanced as their other Tripel-ish brews
