Commercial Description:
For the third scratch beer, we delved into our old Belgian notes and decided to go big for a nice warming feeling when you drink this beer,” says John Trogner. “This unfiltered golden ale is 10.1% abv. It is spicy and quite dry with a hint of noble hops. The yeast is the real flavor in this beer and we used a different yeast strain than we use for The Mad Elf. This yeast creates that drier taste.

Spiced aroma with fruit notes. Very sweet, yet suprisingly dry flavor. Good, but different tripel.

Very nice tripel. Aroma was very good. Strong spices, yeast and light fruit. Pour was a nice hazy light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was all apple, grape and yeast. The spices come in and out, but the light fruits and yeast dominate. Medium carbonation. Would have been nice to have the strong bubbly biting carbonation I like in tripels but this has been aged for a bit so I can’t complain. Somewhat thick mouthfeel with a dry sweet aftertaste. Nice. I am trying all of these in order and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Thanks to either mj or JB175. Hell, thanks to both awesome traders. Pour is a cloudy straw color. thin white head. Smells sweet and fruity with bananna and earthy. Flavor is pretty good. Spicy, sweet and some caramel as well. Smooth and easy to drink. Hides the booze very well.

Bottle thanks to axilla: Pours a transparent bright golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of sweet pale Belgian malt and doughy yeast with some peppery spice. Body starts with a nice biscuity malty sweetness and some light fruity esters before a drier, more bitter warming finish. Pretty authentic for the style and should age well.

Poured hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Good mix of fruit and spice flavors. Finish was a little thin. Not bad for...10%!? Woah.

Pours a very hazy gold with minimal white head that dies quickly. Very little lacing. Smell is of yeast, sweet malt, clove, pepper and some vanilla. Tastes as it smells. Bready with yeast, clove and lots of dried fruit and fig with a little hops. Medium body with nice carbonation. A curveball from Troegs and I like it. Overall a delicious brew
