Pours a very cloudy yellow gold with tons of fluffy chunky protein and yeast bits floating about in suspended animation. Minimal fizzy white head. Nose is heavy syrupy wheat and malt with lots of yeast. Some light spiciness, and I get a light note of smoke for some reason. Slightly sweet and fruity flavor with a heavy yeast influence. A lightly spicy finish with minimal alcohol noticable. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with nice soft fizzy carbonation. Minimal stickiness on the finish. Overall, this was a pretty nice beer, but the appearance wasn’t too desirable. Unfiltered is good, but 1/4 inch of chunky floaties is bad. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA

The aroma has notes of candi sugar, peanut brittle, apricot and banana esters, sweet bread, a herbal hop. The taste starts fruity and malty sweet with a hint of bready goodness. The midsection is a tad yeasty and even wheaty before heading off towards a lightly spiced finish. A touch phenolic as well. The mouth feel is slightly sticky and lush but there is a fair amount of carbonation and bright alcohol to keep it from being cloy. A solid Tripel that could even be better in a year. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Draft at Troegs. Clear golden yellow. Hoppy, sharp candy sugar and light yeast nose, basically it smells like a typical tripel with a big hop bill and slightly higher alcohol. Chewy and frothy sometimes, the hops are dry and spicy, not grassy or juicy, and the yeast is clean and estery, not muddy or heavy. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Unfiltered with a few hops abound. Spicy aroma of cloves, plantains, lemongrass, yeast and bubblegum. Taste is spicy with hints of banana, cloves, lemon, fresh yeast and a bubble gummy finish. Nice.
