Descent half inch thick head. Nose was yeast, spicy, banana as well as other light fruits mingled together. I was astonished when I saw it had 10abv. Well hidden throughout. Went down real nice, and was very enjoyable. Now to get my hands on scratch 4. BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Draft at KSBF07. Pour was well-carbonated cloudy golden appearance. The aroma was firm grassy hop presence over top of the usual fruity-banana ester, phenolic-clovey spice combo. The flavor was sharply clove-like phenols, some bananas, finishing with some grassy character. It seemed like a cranked up version of their hefeweizen. Desired more spicey zing. bu11zeye (5470), Frisco, Texas, USA

Has a big bread and veggie aroma. Flavor is grain and esters. Medium body. The alcohol kicks in toward the finish. Would have never guessed it was an Abbey Tripel. Still, a decent beer. Thanks Jason.
