Commercial Description:
For the third scratch beer, we delved into our old Belgian notes and decided to go big for a nice warming feeling when you drink this beer,” says John Trogner. “This unfiltered golden ale is 10.1% abv. It is spicy and quite dry with a hint of noble hops. The yeast is the real flavor in this beer and we used a different yeast strain than we use for The Mad Elf. This yeast creates that drier taste.

12 oz bottle shared by dickinsonbeer. very hazy light golden in color. Aroma is pretty yeasty with some must, spices, light citrus and banana- very nice. Taste is somewhat sweet, yet very yeast driven- musty, spices, bready with sugary notes as well as pils malt and citrus fruit. Finishes bready, spicy, and lightly sweet.

Pours a hazy golden with a ton of floaties all over...head was medium, bubbly white left some lacing. Aroma of yeast, citrus, various Belgian spicey esters, some bready pilsner type malts. Flavors of yeast, kind of a malty sweetness, on the dry side with a mix of spices and citrus also earthy with a bit of pepper.

12oz. Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of spices, coriander, yeast, floral hops, and peach. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small white head that diminished. Cloudy. Lots of tiny particles. Sparkling. Lightly bitter, very earthy flavor. Tastes of horse blanket, grass, black pepper, and yeast. I really do not like the flavor. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Barnyard-tasting finish. Overall, I don’t like this one.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Hazy pour white head. The aroma was spice and bread. The taste sort of reminded me of a wheat beer. It was pretty good.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow with tons of tiny floaters. Slim white head leaves a lacy ring. Light butterscotch, yeast and apricot. Taste is lemon-orange creamsicle with tangy club soda carb. Mild pith, honey and bread to finish.
