Aroma of fruit. Most notably banana, even though it doesn’t contain banana. Flavor also tastes like banana. Pours a reddish brown color. nice mellow flavor with one hell of a kick.

Nothing overly noticeable here. Drinkable, but then isn’t most beer. At least here pretty expensive at nearly $4/bottle retail which feeds into my mediocre ratings.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with a small, white head. Lacing is good but not great. Aromas of hops, honey, nutmeg, spices, and spruce. Nice smooth initial taste with soft carbonation. Creamy texture initially and then an oily finish. Overall a very good beer.

Bottle. Aroma of honey, wheat, medicinal cherry, alcohol, wintergreen, all very sweet. Flavor summarized by the words sweet, medicinal, and alcoholic. Syrupy. Not a favorite.

Got a tip on this beer from the person who runs my local beer store. If you like strong beers with a sweet, fruity bite, then this beer is for you. Pours clean, very fizzy, with a quickly dissipating head. Almost syrupy to the palate with a strong, sweet aftertaste of honey and alcohol. I would advise standing up between beers if you are going to have more than one of these, as they are subtly strong. EXTRA TIP: buy an extra six pack and keep it in a cool dry place for about one year. this beer ferments very nicely in the bottle. The flavors become more complex.

Thanks to John for this brew. Amber/copper body with a soft beige head. Very solid winter warmer, the cherry gives a nice character to the caramel and soft fig flavor. The honey shows a bit in the finish, but less like a wild clove honey, more like a typical plastic bear honey. Overall I would take this any day over most of our local winter warms, this was just well built and delicious.
